Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Oracle Server Database Administrator who has a strong logical mindset, understands the database and environment well enough to maintain, manage and tune it. The role will involve managing databases as well as developing Oracle reports.
The candidate must also be proficient in Networking and have knowledge on -

- Configuration of routers
- MS networking technologies
- Network security policies
Co- ordination with hotel IT departments and monitoring inter-unit interfaces and the Corporate WAN will also be a part of the job responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: Graduate – Computers/Commerce.
- Post Graduation or BTech preferred.
- Oracle DBA Certification and Oracle SQL certification is a pre-requisite.
- Cisco CCNA certification
- Good communication skills are mandatory.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills are needed.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 4 – 5 years experience is required of which atleast 2 years should be as a DBA of production environments with customer interaction. Lesser experience can be considered for candidates with good communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills and performance tuning experience.
Technical Skill set:
- Ability to perform regular DBA activities like backup & recovery, automating database monitoring activities, release management activities related to the database, creating disaster recovery plans, performance tuning of database, database environment and application queried (if needed)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Listener management; monitoring server performance; and performance tuning.
- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of systems
- Manage systems for high availability, and satisfactory response time.
- Implement proper network security
- Manage the Corporate WAN
- Be available on an on-call basis for recovery problems and system and application problems.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning; including assisting with fault tolerance and contributing to the design of disaster recovery plans.
